Which size should I choose?

For one or two people, 4 or 6 litres works well. If there are more than two of you, 8 litres is the obvious choice. Want to cook two dishes at once? Go for a Dual with two drawers or a Dual Stack with two baskets on top of each other.

Will a whole chicken fit?

Usually yes, but it depends on the size of the chicken. The basket measures 20 × 19 cm in the 4-litre, 22.5 × 22.5 cm in the 6-litre and 24.5 × 24.5 cm in the 8-litre. In the Dual each drawer is 23 × 16.5 cm, and the big basket is 36.5 × 23 cm inside.

Do I need to use oil?

No. Most things turn crispy in the hot air alone. For fresh potatoes or vegetables, a spoonful of oil tossed with the food gives a deeper colour. Never pour oil straight into the basket.

How do I clean it?

Let it cool first. Wash the basket and rack in warm water with a little soap and a soft sponge, and avoid steel wool. If the basket is very greasy, leave it to soak in soapy water for 15–30 minutes. Just wipe the machine itself with a damp cloth.

Can I use metal utensils in the basket?

Better to use wooden, plastic or silicone utensils. The basket has a ceramic coating, and it lasts longest when it doesn't meet metal. Only our pans and pots can take non-sharp metal utensils.

Is the air fryer noisy?

Not very. Our air fryers run at around 55 dB measured one metre away. That's about the level of a normal conversation, so you can easily chat or listen to the radio in the kitchen while one is running.

What if it's not for me?

Cook with it at home for up to 100 days. If it's not for you, just send it back and get your money back, even if you've used it. You get a free return label, and there's a 2-year warranty.
