How does food let go without a coating?

The surface is hardened stainless steel with a fine, almost invisible texture. Food has less contact with the steel, so it lets go more easily. Nothing has been applied on top, so there is nothing that can wear off either.

Is it really free from PFAS?

Yes. ZERO has no coating at all. The cooking surface is the steel itself, so there are no PFAS, PFC or other fluorinated chemicals, and nothing that can flake off and end up in your food.

Do I need to use oil?

Not to stop food sticking, no. Preheat for a few minutes on low to medium, and use slightly lower heat than you're used to. Butter and oil go in for flavour and colour.

Something has burnt on. What do I do?

Let the pot or pan cool down, then leave it to soak in warm water for a few minutes. Then scrub it clean. Steel wool and coarse sponges are absolutely fine, as there is no coating to damage.

Will it work on my hob?

Yes, on induction, gas, electric and ceramic. The stainless steel outside works on all of them, and the aluminium core spreads the heat evenly, so you avoid cold spots.

Can it go in the oven?

Yes, at any temperature. ZERO is made entirely of metal, so there is no plastic or rubber to set a limit. The handle gets hot in the oven, so put on an oven glove.
