How to grill in a basket

Cut the food into even pieces and fill the basket without packing it, so the heat can get round. Close the lid, put the basket straight on the grill, and turn or shake it now and then. The mesh keeps small bits in and lets smoke and heat through.

What can I grill in it?

Vegetables, potatoes, chicken and anything else that would slip through the grate. Marinate the food first if you like. Cut the pieces roughly the same size and don't fill the basket to the top, so it all finishes together and gets heat all round.

How do I close the basket?

The lid clips into two small holes at the top of the cylinder. Clip it in gently and it's easy to get off again. The basket gets very hot on the grill, so use a good oven glove when you turn or open it.

Does the stand fit all the baskets?

No, the grill stand only fits the large grill basket. Put the basket in the stand and set both on the grill at the same time. Then turn the basket with the spit included, much like a rotisserie spit.

How do I clean it?

Always let it cool first. Brush off leftover food with a grill brush or a washing-up brush, then hand wash it in warm water with a little mild soap. That way the steel keeps its smart finish.
