What is the coating made of?

A ceramic non-stick made mainly of silica, which is to say sand, that works together with the metal beneath it. It is free from PFAS, PFC and other fluorinated chemicals.

Can I use metal utensils?

Yes. A steel spatula, a fork or a whisk are all fine to use. Just keep sharp things like knives away, as they can scratch the surface and shorten its life.

Do I need to use oil?

It isn't necessary. Preheat for a few minutes on low to medium before the food goes in, and use slightly lower heat than you're used to. If you want butter or oil for flavour, add it after preheating.

Can it go in the oven?

Yes. Sear the meat on the hob and let the dish finish in the oven in the same pan or pot. The handle gets hot in there, so use an oven glove or pot holder when you take it out.

Does it work on induction?

Yes. It works on every hob: induction, gas, electric and ceramic. The aluminium core spreads the heat quickly and evenly, and the copper responds fast when you turn it up or down.

How do I keep the copper looking good?

Let it cool down, then wash it by hand with warm water, mild soap and a soft sponge. It's quick, because food doesn't stick, and that's how the copper keeps its looks longest.
